Fellows: £19 per annum. Qualifications: Minimum age 21 years; Shorthand speed certificate @ 140 wpm; OR Teacher's Diploma in Shorthand or Typewriting.
Members: £16 per annum. Qualifications: Shorthand speed certificate @ 100 wpm OR Advanced Certificate in Typewriting.
Licentiates: £14 per annum. Qualifications: Persons learning a recognised system of Shorthand; Holders of an Elementary Certificate in Typewriting or some other keyboard skill; Such other qualification as the Council may deem acceptable.
Bona Fide Retired Members: £7.
Journal Readers: £7.
Subscriptions become due on 1st July each year.
Registration fee: £10.
Reinstatement
fee: £10.

As long as people remain in membership by paying their annual subscription regularly, they may use the following letters after their names:
Fellows: F.I.P.S.
Members: M.I.P.S.
Licentiates: L.I.P.S.
